Created in 2018 by Christian Dior Parfums, in partnership with LUMA Arles and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP), the Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents is an international competition for students and recent graduates of leading art and photography schools.
Candidates were invited to respond to the theme of “Face-to-Face”, and the exhibition presents works by the ten laureates selected by the jury, which is chaired by the Japanese photograph Yuroki Takagi and composed of Lebohang Kganye (multidisciplinary South African artist), Jean-Yves Jouannais, (writer and art critic), Maja Hoffmann (Founder and Executive President LUMA Foundation and LUMA Arles), Simon Baker (Director of la Maison Européenne de la Photographie) and Peter Philips (Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup).
Alongside the Rencontres de la Photographie, come discover the work of the laureates on view at La Lampisterie, from July 5 to October 5.
“At LUMA Arles, we believe that the emerging artists shape the tomorrow’s narratives, and we are proud to be able to guide them on their journey” Maja Hoffmann
